 John Shuttleworth is the designer of Neptune’s Car. As one of the most famous architects of oceanworthy multihulls, his designs represent the “Ferraris of the seas”.
After his victory at the OSTAR with Fleury Michon VI, sailed by Philippe Poupon , he designed Tektron 50 and made sure the boat’s potential outshone the winner of the OSTAR by 10 percent.
Neptune’s car has been built in 1988 by the well-known ship yard TEK Composites in Canada and has undergone a complete and thorough refit in 2006.
